At d’Markos Salon, we value your time and the time of our stylists. To ensure we can provide the best service to all our guests, we kindly ask for a minimum of 24 hours' notice for any cancellations or rescheduling requests.

• • 24-Hour Notice: Cancellations made with at least 24 hours' notice will incur no charges.
• • Late Cancellations: Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment may be subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the reserved service amount.
• • No-Shows: Failure to arrive for a scheduled appointment without notice will result in a charge of 50% of the service amount and a non refundable deposit for the next appointment..

We understand that life happens, and we appreciate your cooperation in helping us keep our schedules running smooth for everyone.

To ensure the best results and the health of your natural hair, all extension services at d’Markos Salon are subject to the following terms:

• • Mandatory Consultation: All new extension clients must book a consultation prior to their installation. This allows us to assess your hair health, match your color, and determine the best method (I-Tip, K-Tip, Weft, or Tape-In) for your lifestyle.
• • Hair Purchase: The cost of the extension hair is separate from the installation fee. Hair must be paid for in full at the time of ordering and is non-refundable once the package is opened or the hair is installed.
• • Non-Refundable Deposit: Due to the length of time required for extension appointments, a 50% deposit of the installation service fee is required to secure your booking.
• • Arrival Requirements: Please arrive with clean, dry hair, free of heavy products or oils, unless otherwise instructed during your consultation.
• • Maintenance & Move-Ups: To maintain the integrity of your natural hair, move-up appointments must be scheduled within the timeframe recommended by your stylist (typically 6–10 weeks). Delaying maintenance can lead to matting or hair damage.
• • Client-Provided Hair: While we prefer to work with our professional brands (Bellami, Dream Catchers, Donna Bella), you may bring your own extensions. However, we cannot guarantee the longevity or quality of hair not sourced through the salon.

To secure your appointment for specialized or time-intensive services, d’Markos Salon requires a non-refundable deposit. This ensures your stylist’s time is reserved exclusively for you.

• • Deposits: For longer appointments or specialty services (like Vivid Colors or Extensions, and chemical services), a non-refundable deposit may be required at the time of booking, which will be applied toward your final total.
• • Application of Funds: Your deposit will be applied directly toward your final balance on the day of your service.
• • Applicable Services: Deposits are required for all Extension installs, Vivid Colors, Color Corrections, and Keratin Treatments.
• • Deposit Amount: A deposit of 50% of the estimated service total is required at the time of booking.
• • Rescheduling: If you need to move your appointment, your deposit can be transferred to a new date provided you give at least 48 hours' notice.
• • Forfeiture: Deposits are non-refundable. If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice or "no-show" your appointment, the deposit will be forfeited to cover the lost salon time.
• • Deposits can be paid over the phone at 334-277-4247 or in person at the salon.
• • Online booking requires a deposit when booking and follows the same reschedule and no show rules

At d’Markos Salon, we believe in customized care. Because every guest has unique hair goals, density, and history, our menu prices serve as a STARTING POINT and are ALL a la carte.

• • Factors for Adjustment: Final pricing may vary based on the stylist’s level of experience, the amount of professional product required to achieve your look, and the total time needed to complete the service.
• • Consultations: For large-scale changes (such as Vivid Colors or Color Corrections), a consultation is required to provide you with a personalized price estimate.
• • Transparency: Your stylist will discuss any price adjustments with you during the consultation at the start of your appointment so there are no surprises at checkout.

Vivid colors (pinks, blues, purples, etc.) and pastels are a major investment in your look. Because these are semi-permanent pigments, they require specific care to stay vibrant.

• • Mandatory Consultation: All first-time Vivid Color and Color Correction guests must have a consultation to discuss hair history and goals.
• • Fading Expectation: Vivid colors are designed to fade over time. Pastel tones have less pigment and will fade significantly faster than deeper, more saturated jewel tones.
• • At-Home Maintenance: To extend the life of your color, you must:
• o Wash with sulfate-free, color-safe professional products (available at the salon).
• o Use cold water only when rinsing to keep the hair cuticle closed.
• o Wash your hair as infrequently as possible (dry shampoo is your best friend!).
• • Heat Protection: Always apply a professional heat protectant before using any hot tools. High heat can literally "cook" the pigment out of the hair, leading to instant fading.
• • No Refunds: Due to the artistic and variable nature of creative color, we do not offer refunds on vivid services. We are happy to make adjustments within 7 days if the care instructions above were followed.

Color correction is a technical journey, not just a single appointment. Whether we are removing box dye, fixing uneven tones, or transitioning from dark to light, the following terms apply:

• • Multi-Session Process: Achieving your goal while maintaining hair integrity often requires multiple visits. We cannot "rush" the chemistry without risking significant damage.
• • Hair Integrity & Risks: Chemical services of this nature can be taxing on your hair's health. While we use premium bond-builders to protect your strands, some dryness or texture change is possible. Your stylist may refuse a service if they believe your hair cannot safely handle the next step.
• • Correction Consultation: All color correction will need an in-person consultation. We will perform a strand test if necessary and provide an estimated "roadmap" for your sessions.
• • At-Home Care Commitment: Success depends on your at-home routine. Your stylist will recommend professional-grade products to prep your hair for the next session.
• • Hair History vs. Current State: It is important to understand that while your hair may have been "easy" to manage or reached a bright blonde easily in the past, it isn’t that same hair now. Meaning it could be harder to lighten darker hair or be in a more fragile state that makes it more difficult to achieve your goal. Previous color services, environmental stress, and mechanical damage change the hair's foundation. We must work with the hair you have today to ensure it stays healthy tomorrow.

At d’Markos Salon, we strive to stay on schedule to provide every guest with a relaxed and unhurried experience. Please let us know if you are running late. If you arrive late but within the grace period, we will do our best to accommodate you; however, your service may be shortened to stay on time for the next guest. We will do our best to notify you in a timely manner if we are running late.

• • 15-Minute Rule: If you are more than 15 minutes late for a standard service (Haircut, Color, or Full Facial), your appointment may be forfeited and may need to be rescheduled. A cancellation fee may apply.
• • Express & Short Services: For appointments scheduled for 30 minutes or less (such as Waxing, Tinsel, or Quick Trims), the grace period is strictly 5 minutes. Arriving later than 5 minutes may result in a forfeited appointment.

We love your little ones, but for their safety and the comfort of our guests, we maintain the following guidelines:

• • Safety First: The salon environment contains sharp tools, hot irons, and chemicals. For safety reasons, ALL children need to be supervised at all times by their parent/guardian. Please do not allow children to play on/with salon equipment.
• • Supervision: For all children we ask that a parent/guardian remain in the salon for the duration of the service.
• • A Relaxing Environment: Many of our guests look forward to their "Beauty" time as a quiet escape. We kindly ask that children remain seated in the waiting area and use "inside voices" or headphones for any electronic devices.

At d’Markos Salon, we are a team of rebels, technical perfectionists, and real people. We pride ourselves on creating a space where creativity thrives and everyone feels welcome. To maintain this environment, we have a zero-tolerance policy for disrespectful behavior.

• • Mutual Respect: We promise to treat every guest with professional courtesy and technical excellence. In return, we require that our stylists and staff be treated with the same level of respect.
• • Zero Tolerance: Shouting, profanity, insults, or any form of harassment toward our team or other guests will not be tolerated.
• • Right to Refuse Service: We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who creates an uncomfortable or unsafe environment. If a session is terminated due to a client’s behavior, the full service fee or deposit will still apply.
• • We thank you for helping us keep the vibe positive and professional.

At d’Markos Salon, we believe in "technical perfection." For many of our specialized services, the journey begins with a conversation.

• • Consultations are Not Service Appointments: A consultation is a dedicated 15–30 minute meeting to discuss your hair history, perform strand tests, and determine the best technical path forward. No actual hair or skin services will be performed during this time.
• • Booking Your Transformation: Your service appointment will be scheduled after the consultation is complete. This ensures we have the correct amount of time, the right products, and a clear "roadmap" for your goal.
• • Why We Require This: This policy allows us to give you an accurate price estimate and prevents confusion by ensuring your expectations and our technical capabilities are perfectly aligned.
